Who We Are

A Family on a Mission

The Gathering Centre was birthed in 2024 with a close-knit group who had been doing ministry together for years. We started by rotating through different families' homes in the Lower Mainland until we grew to a point that they could no longer contain us. In 2025, we moved into the Matsqui Community Hall on Sundays and have been enjoying the space and hospitality it provides.

We are a people of God's presence and His word. Our heart is that every person would have a living, active relationship with Jesus, and would be hungry to live that out alongside an authentic, Spirit-filled church family.

We believe the gospel is simple, powerful, and available to everyone — not kept at a distance, but placed right in your heart, on your lips, and ready to be lived.

We believe in gathering around family. We believe your relationship with Jesus matters, and that you are seen and valued in God's eyes. And we have a place for you here. Come and experience the community for yourself!

What We Believe

We believe God is present and active — not a distant observer, but a Father who longs to encounter his children. We believe in the power of prayer, the presence of the Holy Spirit, and the living authority of the Word of God.

We believe every person who walks through our doors carries the image of God and is created for more. We don't come to consume — we come to encounter, to grow, and to be sent out.

We believe that the church isn't a building or a Sunday experience — it's a family moving together from Monday to Monday. Our goal isn't to build a big church. It's to build big people.

We believe in revival — not as a distant hope but as a present reality available to every believer who chooses to remain in Jesus, abide in His presence, and carry His presence into the world.

God created you to make a difference, and serving together is one of the ways we live that out as a family. He has uniquely gifted you with talents, abilities, and passions — and we believe those gifts are meant to be used, not saved.

We also believe that the most meaningful serving often happens not where we expected, but where we're most needed. When you join the Serve Team, we'll have a conversation about where you're gifted and where the church has needs — and together we'll find where you fit best.

Whether that's welcoming guests, serving children, hosting a group, running technology, or working behind the scenes — there's meaningful work to be done, and every role matters.
